The partial lunar eclipse on 17th September 2024 was a bit of a bust for me. Just as the shadow on the Earth started to touch the Moon's North Pole, lots of small drifting clouds came scudding by; I couldn't tell if I was seeing eclipse or cloud. I think the first 2 pictures are early stage eclipse while the rest are a mix.

It was a very partial eclipse.

I took these pictures with my Canon DSLR camera loaded with a 300mm telephoto lens at full stretch, hand held, and with the auto exposure reduced by 5 stops.
